One of Us Is Lying is a young-adult mystery novel that follows four high school students as they try to solve what looks like a murder case at their school. The main characters are all high school stereotypes—the star football player, the rebel, the golden girl, and the Ivy League nerd. As the story plays out, the reader discovers they’re not as simple as they appear. This novel is interesting and a good mix of young-adult and murder mystery. There are some scenes and language that readers may find inappropriate.

4. Billy Summers by Stephen King

This is Stephen King’s newest novel. It follows a hitman, Billy Summers, who decides to take one last job—killing a criminal before his trial. 5. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

This classic mystery novel follows a group of people who have been invited to an island for the holidays. After each of the guests are accused of murder, people start dying mysteriously. It’s a great read with an intriguing story line and unexpected plot twists.
